A new course offering — Introduction to Literature

Our company’s Introduction to Literature course is now available, and open to new enrollments!  Taught by Dr. Melissa Siik, the course is designed to teach students 1) what literature is, 2) how to think about and discuss literature, and 3) how to write about literature.  More information is available at www.writeguide.com/content/introduction-literature.

Also, our Introduction to Grammar course will continue accepting enrollments through September; and our Individualized Writing Course remains open year-round.

Lastly, the deadline for submissions to the All Saints/Fall edition of the Homeschool Literary Quarterly is September 15th.  Please be sure to share the submission deadline with any homeschool writers you might know.  Submitting work to the HLQ is an exciting opportunity!  It offers two student-proofreader internships, and will soon offer a student-editor internship as well.

The Trinity/Summer edition of the HLQ is officially published! Congratulations to all our student writers, and many thanks to our two student proofreaders!  You can visit (and read) the magazine at http://www.homeschoolliterary.com.

Our Introduction to Grammar course is now open for fall enrollments!  There are only 25 spots available in the course, so if you’d like to enroll, please visit http://www.writeguide.com/content/introduction-grammar, and place your enrollment soon.  We anticipate that all the spots will be taken by the end of summer.

As always, the Homeschool Literary Quarterly is accepting student submissions of fiction, poetry, and non-fiction.  The deadline for the Trinity/Summer edition is June 15th.    The HLQ recently took on two student proofreaders, and will be offering more internships soon!

Lastly, we’re accepting many enrollments in our Individualized Writing Course for the fall.  Please consider placing your enrollment soon if you would like to work with a particular writing consultant.  New enrollments can be placed at http://www.mywriteguide.com/newenrollment.cfm.  Or, if you’re already a WriteGuide.com client, you can place your enrollment by logging into your account at www.mywriteguide.com

Time to think about fall enrollments!

Three Quick Reminders:

Please know that in the month of June, families begin enrolling for writing courses scheduled to start in the fall (late August/early September).  If there’s a particular writing consultant with whom you’d like to work this coming school year, please consider enrolling well between June 1st and August 1st in order to secure a spot on his or her roster!

Also, the Homeschool Literary Quarterly (http://www.homeschoolliterary.com) is currently accepting submissions for its Trinity/Summer edition.  If you know of any students who might like to submit their work to the magazine, please send them our way!  The deadline for submissions is June 15th.

Lastly, we’re pleased to welcome H.O.M.E., the latest group to be approved for our discounted prices.  Information regarding our discounted prices for approved groups can be found at http://www.writeguide.com/content/discounted-prices-members-groups
